Google’s Nexus 4G

Google branded phones have come a long way. From its humble beginnings starting at the Nexus 1 to the recently launched and seemingly loved Nexus S, the Nexus line is the phone to have. Nexus devices are by definition developer phones. The Nexus line is the go to device to test your newly developed applications but has taken on a new role as of lately and can be found in the hands of many end users for personal everyday use. But how would you upgrade the Nexus device. The current Nexus S rocks some pretty amazing specs. According to a recent leak the next generation Nexus will put that to shame.

Its looks as if BGR has gotten the drop on some juicy details about the upcoming Nexus device which is being dubbed as the Nexus 4G and boy o boy this thing is a monster. The site has picked up some pretty detailed – details about the upcoming Nexus 4G and I want one now! According to the leaky details the Nexus 4G will come fully equipped with a dual core OMAP 4460 or a low power Snapdragon processor that are said to clock in somewhere between 1.2 or 1.5 GHz. Other details stuff 1 GB of RAM into the Nexus 4G leaving it hear would make it an amazing device, but there is more. The display on the Nexus 4G is said to have a “monster-sized” 720p HD screen. The rear facing camera will sport an advanced 5 mega pixel camera that can record video in full 1080p and is said to above and beyond what were used to. The front facing camera will come in at an impressive 1 mega pixel. Another feature is the lack of soft keys or the familiar buttons along the bottom of the device. The Nexus 4G will be running Android version 4.0 aka Ice Cream Sandwich. While a release date was not given the source claims that Google will be launching the new Nexus 4G around the holidays. The source could not confirm the carrier to BGR however it’s as its is 4G compatible it is leading many to believe it to potentially be At&t’s first 4G model. The manufacture is also unknown, but most Android aficionados are pulling for an HTC make. Guess we’ll have to wait and see.
