Gold and Red LG G2’s Confirmed for the Chinese New Year
Gold and red LG G2’s inbound! Watch out folks, duck for cover but keep an eye out for some rather awesome LG made eye candy. While seemingly trivial adding color to smart phone is something that has only recently taken off. A slew of Lumia devices, Apple’s latest 5C and Samsung’s varied coloring options have slowly showed that offering up your smart phones in colors outside of black and white is potentially profitable. After looking back into the past few years however it seems that LG is one company that has not quite committed to colored flagships…until now!
A few days back speculation surrounding gold colored LG G2 began spreading across the interwebs as the said device was found on ePrice.Com up for sale. While gold is seemingly a tacky color option the past year has shown that Samsung, Apple and HTC users like it. So LG has joined the crowd and will be officially offering up gold clad G2 as well as a red G2. The colors are designed to commemorate the coming of the Chinese New Year and are said to use a textured backing that will add a bit more grip and of course further differentially itself from standard G2’s. The red and gold G2’s will go on sale in Singapore starting January 18th and will sell unlocked for approximately $705 bucks or 898 SGD. So in case you haven’t heard the G2 is one of the best phones of 2013. It comes with a 5.2 inch full HD IPS touch screen display and runs Android version 4.2.2 seamlessly with a highly capable 2.2 GHz quad core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2 GB of RAM, a 13 mega pixel camera and 16 or 32 GB of storage space.
