Rugby is an amazingly grueling sport; it takes the likes of a super rugged individual to get into the game as a spectator, let alone an active player. With the name comes rugged implications and Samsung has built a line of dedicated durable phones that live up to the name. The original Samsung Rugby came into this world in 2008 and waited about two years for a refresh. The Rugby II with a similar build was introduced in 2010. Both of these models are designed to take a beating, but they have always lacked certain smartness about them. 2012 will change the Rugby line forever by introducing it to the smart phone sector. The Samsung Rugby Smart is here to ensure you stay connected no matter where you and your new phone may find yourselves.

The Samsung Rugby Smart has taken off the hinges and moved forward from the old flip design to slate or bar style design, but has not forgotten its rugged roots. Way back in September Pocketnow got their hands on what was only known at the time as the SGH-i847. The limited details on specifics could only note that it was carrying a WVGA quality touch screen. Last month details of the devices destiny were unearthed by BGR when they caught a glimpse into At&t’s Q1 2012 road map. According to that leak the Rugby Smart and At&t Fusion were set to launch come February 18th. While that target date has come and gone, it looks as if Pocketnow has gotten some more details on the new handset, including some juicy pictures. The pictures show off a super rugged design, with hardware buttons for navigating Android, a physical lock for the battery door and housing that just looks like it could take a beating. Specs? Well, it’s not a super phone that’s for sure. For now details on the exact specs for the Rugby Smart are pretty scarce. It is said to run with Android version 2.3.5 also known as Gingerbread. While its chip set is still unknown a single core 1 GHz guess would most likely fit in well. Other details scrounged up by Pocketnow, give the Rugby Smart 512MB of RAM and a 1650 mAh battery. The only other details about the Rugby Smart give it HSPA+ compatibility and a price that is said to be about $100 bucks. Of course we should probably include a new contract and potentially a mail in rebate with that cost. While the new Samsung Rugby Smart is no Galaxy Nexus or iPhone, it can go places those device will never return from and for a hundred bucks, the Rugby Smart is sure to please. While there is no release information on this new ruggedized smart phone, most are expecting an official unveiling and probably some ultra cool detail to be exposed come MWC.

So what do you think? The Rugby has been made into an Android running smart phone, impressed? Sound off in the comments below and let us know what you think about this new handset. And remember the very best in Samsung Rugby accessories are here, no matter which model you use.

That could very well be US Cellular’s slogan when it comes to picking up new devices. In some cases US Cellular is always a step behind the major three in acquiring new goodies for their retail shelves. While there are a few exceptions when the carrier picks up devices first or at the same time as its larger competitors, usually the company gets to pick high end smart phones from the pile of left over’s. Or so it seems. A next generation Galaxy S II device has finally made its way to the bands of US Cellular, and end users could not be happier.

This new Galaxy S II model made its rounds through the ceremonious FCC enlistment camp earlier this year in January. The device code named the Samsung SCH-R760 is the latest and greatest device to hit the carrier’s shelves since the Hero S. US Cellular has made the device official today via a good old fashioned press release. Of course the press release does not mention any release dates; however the company has the device listed on their site as coming soon, so surely it will be available in the coming weeks. The US Cellular branded Galaxy S II will cost you about $230 bucks, but only after a $100 dollar mail rebate and guaranteeing your commitment for the next two years. So what is in a name? Well it’s very similar to the Sprint Epic 4G Touch version of the Galaxy S II, only it is limited to 3G connectivity only. Internally you’ll get the same greatness that all GSII users are experiencing. It starts with Android version 2.3, aka Gingerbread and goes on to get better, I promise. When you pick up the device you will be staring and most likely drooling at its 4.52 inch Super AMOLED Plus display that provides a 480 x 800 pixel resolution. The US Cellular Galaxy S II will get its go from a 1.2 GHz dual core Exynos processor, just like all the other variants outside of T-Mobiles version, this of course will backed by 16GB of internal storage. Around back you can also expect an 8 mega pixel camera that is capable for recording video in full 1080p HD and a 2 mega pixel shooter up front. Other details embedded with this new GSII, based on the Epic 4G Touch, are Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, HDMI and DLNA connectivity. Are you a US Cellular customer? Have you been waiting on this opportunity? Well it will soon be your time to shine.

Let us know what you think of the new US Cellular version of the Galaxy S II. Sound off in the comments below and let us know if you will be picking one up. Oh and never forget all the best Samsung Galaxy S II accessories can be found here.

Do you remember the HTC Endeavor, aka One X, aka Edge, aka Ville? Rumors on this next generation super phone started leaking out in November of last year, and since then the leaky goodness has had anyone interested on the edge of their seat waiting for more details. Well, good news! The Endeavor has gotten some more details to drool over before the devices rumored announcement come MWC. With the new details bubbling up around this phone it seemingly just gets better. Quad Core processing, super clear HD screens and enough power to keep your local government up and running, the HTC Endeavor is shaping up to be a pretty impressive smart phone.

The HTC Endeavor is set to be the next super phone from HTC and it packs in all the power it needs to push the envelope and set a new standard. The new information on this forthcoming monster phone has come from MoDaCo.Com and it just keeps getting better. Over the course of the last few months, the world has gotten a better feel as to what this new HTC phone will provide. According to the site HTC will be using a Super LCD touch screen as opposed to the previous rumors that the Endeavor will use HTC standard, AMOLED screens. The said screen is slated to measure in at 4.7 inches and provide 720p HD pixel resolutions. The site goes on to point at a super thin design. Unfortunately with no exact dimensions to quote, the build is said to measure in at “THIN without compromising HTC’s renowned build quality”. While there are a slew of super thin phones on the market, HTC does not reside in the category. The Endeavor is said to change all of that whilst keeping with HTC’s build quality. MoDaCo goes on to point out that the new super phone will sport on screen soft keys, while only having a power button and volume rockers as hardware buttons. Additional details state the Endeavor, as expected will ship with Beats Audio software and a pair of Beats ear buds. But wait there is more. Similar to one of its already available cousins the Endeavor is said to be naked when it comes to expandable microSD. With that being a major bummer, the Endeavor should ship in 32GB varieties. In a move perpetuated by Apple with the announcement of the iPhone 4, the Endeavor will also require microSIM cards. Internally the Endeavor is confirmed to carry a next generation Tegra3 processor, as it has been confirmed as a “‘nVidia AP33 1.5GHz / XMM6260′” by the source. Add in 1GB of RAM and an 1800 mAh battery, (which may or may not be removable) and you have all the power you will need to stay ready. Additional information confirms the new devices HSPA radio, Bluetooth 4.0, and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, A-GPS, a motion sensor, FM radio, a light sensor, gyro, proximity sensor, a digital compass and NFC connectivity. Around back an 8 mega pixel camera is taking your pics and recording your video in full 1080p HD with stereo audio recording, up front a 1.3 mega pixel shooter is available for HD video calling. Last and surely not least, the HTC Endeavor is ready to make the best of your mobile life with the latest and greatest in Android operating systems with Ice Cream Sandwich, or version 4.0. Additionally the latest in HTC Sense version 4.0 is said to be skinning this new powerhouse.

So is this the device that can help bring HTC back to the forefront of smart phones? The HTC Endeavor is slated for announcement in the coming weeks, will you be holding onto your upgrade in hopes your carrier picks this up? Sound off in the comments below and let us know what you think of this new power house. And always remember, we carry all the HTC accessories you’ll ever need.

The latest LG leak is a mid to entry level device that sports the current underdog OS, WP7. With the start of MWC in Barcelona only 10 days away LG has steadily been pumping out leaks. In an attempt to keep up with the front runners, LG is seemingly pushing out as many options as possible to gain a stronger foot hold in this highly competitive mobile environment. The LG Fantasy, aka Miracle has been ousted once again.

The LG Fantasy was first exposed late last year within the forum walls of XDA. The device was then exposed again just earlier this month and now again some new pictures and details have leaked from under the bowls of the internet. New details on the device have surfaced from Mobilissimo.ro, a Romanian based tech site and they have taken it upon themselves to expose a bit more detail on the Miracle, with a short video of its abilities and some new not so blurry pics. While most of the specs and particulars have been exposed in the ongoing saga of this phone, additional info and pictures never hurt…right? Up front he LG Miracle uses a 4 inch touch screen display that is rumored to be of WVGA NOVA quality. Unfortunately according to the sites source, the Miracle may not be that lucky when it comes to the display. Internally it is said the Miracle will run with a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor and of course uses the latest and greatest in WP7 software, version 7.5 aka Mango. The new information confirms the rear facing camera will contain a 5 mega pixel sensor, while previous info put a 1.3 mega pixel shooter up front for all those video conferences. The rear facing camera is also said to be able to record video in 720p HD quality. While WP7 phones are notorious for not having expandable memory options, the Miracle is said to come packing 8GB of internal memory. The new information also puts NFC connectivity into the Miracle. While Windows Phone 7, does not currently support NFC it could take a Miracle to make it happen. Additionally we can most likely expect Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 and an HSPA compatible radio.

Check out this short video of the LG Fantasy, Miracle E740….doing stuff.

Call it a Miracle, a Fantasy or just an LG E740 this new handset will surely please the mid range and will be very impressive if NFC is actually present come announcement time. While the Miracle that has been passed around is still a prototype we can expect some changes come announcement time. So what do you think of this new device from LG?
