The New Droid RAZR MAXX HD Ready for Holiday Release
Motorola is quite possibly the most well know cell phone manufacturer to date. Poised as the inventors of the mobile phone, Motorola has pumped out some amazing handset in its time and the new Android RAZR series devices are no different. From a long line of amazing razor thin devices comes the latest in Android based RAZR’s. Last week Motorola held a press event to launch their latest in RAZR technologies. One gem from the long list of devices is a new RAZR MAXX, but this time, rebuilt in HD! The company announced a few different RAZR devices including the RAZR HD, the RAZR M, but what’s a new RAZR device without a MAXX version right?
If you’re unfamiliar with the first line of Droid RAZR devices, you should know that the original Droid RAZR has a Maxx powered cousin that can take your daily use and basically double it, in terms of battery life. In the refresh of the Droid RAZR it has earned an HD branding and shortly thereafter the Droid RAZR HD Maxx was born. The Droid RAZR Maxx HD is essentially a new Droid RAZR HD but with a highly capable 3300 mAh battery. The Droid RAZR Maxx HD may be slightly thicker than its RAZR HD cousin but it will last a whole lot longer. Spec’s wise, outside of its battery rating you should expect pretty much the same device. It starts with a 4.7 inch Super AMOLED HD touch screen that sports a 720×1280 pixel resolution at 312 pixels per inch. Internally this bad boy will run with a 1.5 GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 chipset that works in line with an Adreno 225 GPU, 1GB of RAM, 32 GB of ROM, and 26 GB of user accessible memory. Expandable microSDHC memory is also available up to 32 GB. The Razr MAXX HD along with all the other new RAZR droids will run with Android version 4.0 aka Ice Cream Sandwich and is scheduled for an upgrade to 4.1 Jelly Bean by the end of this year. Around back of the Razr MAXX HD you’ll get a perfectly placed 8 mega pixel camera with LED flash and full 1080p HD video recording capabilities’. The device uses Gorilla Glass up front to keep that screen safe and Dupont made Kevlar backing that is that is nano-coated and water repellant. Additional connectivity comes from a 3.5 mm headset jack, USB 2.0, HDMI, DLNA, NFC, Bluetooth version 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS and of course 4G LTE connectivity.
Anyone interested? The Droid RAZR HD and Droid RAZR MAXX HD will be made “available before the holidays” but pricing has yet to be announced. Sound off in the comments and let us know what you think of the new Droid RAZR HD MAXX. And remember, the very best in Motorola accessories are here.

Such minor improvements over the originals. Love all the reviews making a big deal of the 3300 battery. Isn’t it the same as the original Maxx? Or 1GB RAM. Again… same as original. Oh wait an 8MP came… have that in my Droid X. So improvements???? The exact same processor as the S3. WOW…. makes me want to run out and dump $700 to keep my data plan.

Don’t hate “anonymous”. The razr maxx reset the standard that iphone is now trying desperately to keep up with – and not doing a very good job i might add. Razr’s got bigger n better display, faster processor, more memory, waaaay more battery life and much more versatility. Cross over from the dark side, it’s ok, you’ll be glad you did.

@don’t hate, The only standard that my Razr Maxx has set, since the ICS update on June 30, is how to mess up a great phone, and how to provide horrible customer service. I have spent MANY hours with both Verizon and Moto tech support (going up several levels in each organization) and key features I used every day are still broken over 2 months later with no bug fix in sight. If this was a car, they would be forced to buy it back by the “lemon laws” that protect car buyers. I would gladly trade this thing in on any of several other top phones right now and will likely go to small claims court if Verizon continues to stonewall. No more Moto for me!

Droid Razr Mazzini HD will be king of Droids. I’m going to kick myself in the rear when I upgrade and 6you months later a Droid Razr Mazzini HD 2 comes out with 11mega pixel camera, quad core processor, wireless N wifi support, etc….

The Razr Maxx Hd is definitely putting the Iphone 5 to shame. Hd phone with 3300 mAh battery and a 4.7in screen. Iphone fanboys start crying. Plus, Apple is the devil. An apple that is bitten? Ask Adam!

I might have to pay the big bucks to get this phone over my current Galaxy Nexus…battery life is horrendous, I’ve resorted to every trick I can think of, including dropping brightness to minimum and shutting down mobile data as often as I can.
