Dell’s Streak becomes official for the states
Recently Dell has been in the news agreeing to manufacture some devices for WP7 fame. Dell has also been circulating the Streak. The Dell Streak first went official in the UK back in May and has been slowly making its rounds and it looks like its Americas turn.
Dells Streak idea has been rumored and circulating via small details and leaked pics and even videos at one point. The Dell Streak is a giant amongst some already pretty large smart phones; the Streak is a 5 inch smart phone/tablet that “has found a way to fit your whole world in a 5-inch screen. Its unique size will help people discover new ways to enjoy the web, connect with friends, and navigate their lives.” The Streak comes equipped with a 5 inch WGVA touch screen, a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G, a 5MP camera, a VGA front facing camera, LED Flash, and can accept up to 32GB of external memory and holds 2GB of internal memory. Sound good? The Android based Dell Streak will ship with Androids OS version 1.6. Doesn’t sound that cool anymore? Dell’s PR team has noted that they will have a Froyo or 2.2 update for the Streak “later this year”. They might have shot themselves in the foot with that one. But if you are still interested the Dell Streak will be running at about $300 bucks with a new contract and around $550 sans the contract. The Streak will be made available to all potential or existing customers on At&t on August 13th.
So let us know if you are anticipating the release of the 1.6 Dell Streak. Keep in mind this is a big device. Let us know your thoughts, on Dells Streak.streak, Android, AT&T, dell
