The Blackberry Z30 Goes Live With Verizon November 14th


Hold on to your britches everyone, Verizon is set to launch the new Blackberry Z30!  Way back in September, Blackberry took to the headlines and announced their latest Z smart phone the Z30. The Z10 if you remember was the start of something that Blackberry felt very confident about. The new handset along with the Q10 ushered in the new QNX based era at Blackberry. This wave of newness brought a new operating system to the legendary Blackberry and embedded a new sense of style and wonderment into the once stale and mostly failing handsets. Today, the Z30 gets its go no go for launch with Verizon, but is it the berry for you?

The Blackberry Z series of handsets is getting a new variation this week here stateside and big red Verizon Wireless has their hands on the device exclusively. Shortly after the Blackberry announcements early this year we were introduced to a few more of the company’s new devices including the Q5 and R10. The Z30 was announced by Blackberry in September and was slated as a Verizon exclusive when launching stateside. The announcement gave us all the details we needed outside of a specific launch date. The launch window set by previous information gave the device a rather general time frame stating simply “November”. Well folks, it is November and Verizon is looking for a new Blackberry to sling! The Z30 will be available with the big red carrier starting tomorrow Thursday, November 14th. Pricing  on the handset will start at $200 bucks on contract. The Z30 offers up Blackberry version 10.2 on a 5 inch Super AMOLED touch screen that sports a 720×1280 pixel resolution. Around back an 8 mega pixel camera with a 2 mega pixel sensor up front. Internally it packs in a Snapdragon S4 processor, Adreno 320 GPU, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage and expandable micro SD memory options.
