The Blackberry Z30 Becomes a Big Red Exclusive
The Blackberry Z30 soon to be a Verizon exclusive! Blackberry is going through some tough times recently. It’s no secret; the company’s latest attempt at revitalizing their brand has seemingly withered on the vine. But even a dying tree has a way of staying alive in the worst of draughts. Recently Blackberry finally took the wraps off of their cross platform variation of their infamous BBM messaging app. The launch of Blackberry’s new OS 10 was poised to give new light to the company’s future and launched alongside the Z and Q10’s smart phones with promises of other hardware in the works. Well folks, a piece of that future have been made official…again!
The Blackberry Z30 while not appearing in wild leaks to much leading up to its launch was announced by Blackberry in mid September. The device was launched within weeks of its announcement across the UK and the Middle East. The devices estimated time of arrival was not quite pinned down at the time of its announcement, but was expected to make its way into more markets by the holiday shopping season. Today the Blackberry Z30 has been announced as finding a new home amongst the smart phones that are offered up by Big Red Verizon. The Blackberry Z30 will be made available through the carrier’s retail outlets starting sometime next month. The company however would not put a specific date on the launch. The Blackberry Z30 is expected to be priced at $199 bucks under the muse of a two year contract. So what can you expect from the Z30? The Z30 starts with Blackberry 10.2 and gives its users access to the operating system via a 5 inch Super AMOLED touch screen that offers up a 720×1280 pixel resolution. Internally the Z30 comes with a 2880 mAh battery that powers a Qualcomm made Snapdragon S4 system chip that comes packing a dual core 1.7 GHz Krait processor. Additionally the Z30 runs with an Adreno 320 GPU, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage and expandable micro SD memory options up to 64 GB. Around back the Z30 houses an 8 mega pixel camera with LED flash.
