BlackBerry Torch 9800 Only a Penny from Amazon Right Now

What does a company do when a product it is selling just isn’t selling? It cuts the price of course. AT&T originally had the BlackBerry Torch 9800 priced at $200 with a two-year contract. Internet retailer Amazon.com beat AT&T on the price by a lot and AT&T responded this holiday season by dropping the price for a Torch to a mere $99. What did Amazon do? The BlackBerry Torch 9800 is only one penny ($0.01) with contract now from the internet company. Lots and lots of other smartphones are on sale through Amazon Wireless right now as well and the sale is only expected to last until Monday, so run over there and check it out!

The three phones you should keep your eyes peeled for are the BlackBerry Torch 9800, the HTC Surround and the LG Quantum. At a penny apiece with new, two-year contract on a single line, you really can’t beat this deal. Did the Torch 9800 just get a heck of a lot more attractive? I sure think so. And if you’re in the market for a WP7 device, HTC’s Surround and LG’s Quantum are pretty good models.

So what are you waiting for? Run over to Amazon and start looking around. You might be surprised at what you will find. The big question is, with AT&T selling the Torch for only $99 and Amazon selling it for a penny, do either of these companies think the Torch is even worth selling? Don’t get me wrong. The Torch is the best smartphone Research In Motion (RIM) has developed to date but its slow sales and the rise of Android and iOS in the corporate world are really making RIM worried. The PlayBook tablet is expected to bring some new life to BlackBerry, but in the meantime, go reward yourself this holiday season with a new smartphone.

Remember, the deal is only expected to last until Monday, so hurry!
