New Details Surrounding the Blackberry A10 Leak
Spec’s for the Blackberry A10 leak into the headlines! It seems like only yesterday we were all talking about Blackberry’s spear headed come back into the smart phone market. Back in January of this year Blackberry took the wraps off of their highly anticipated and heavily redesigned Blackberry 10 software that launched alongside the Z10 and subsequently Q10 smart phones. While the Q and Z10 series devices have made their way around the world and back we have yet to see any other Blackberry 10 devices become official. Recently however a leak of the company’s plans for a Blackberry Bold 9720 running the Blackberry OS 7 has many scratching their heads. But fear not, the A10 looks to be Blackberry’s next hope for OS 10.
Late last week rumblings of the A10 handset surfaced to the top of the interwebs alongside pictures and details surrounding the Bold 9720. A few short days later, slightly blurry picture of what is claimed to be Blackberry largest ever and latest A10 surfaced to the top of the internet all thanks to BGR.Com. Specifics for the A10 were a bit nil at the time and pictures of the device showed nothing more than a seemingly larger Z10. Today however brings us Specs! Crackberry.Com has gotten their hands on a Blackberry confidential slide that shows off all there are to know about the new A series Blackberry. According to these newly founded documents the Blackberry A10 will start with a 5 inch OLED 1280×720 touch screen that will offer up 295 pixels per inch and give its end user access to Blackberry OS version 10.2. Internally the A10 is expected to come running a dual core 1.7 GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. Additionally the A10 will support additional micro SD memory expansion and a rather large “integrated” 2800 mAh battery. The A10’s rear facing camera is expected to use an 8 mega pixel sensor while the front facing shooter will house a 2 mega pixel sensor. The rest of the details are all mostly expected. The A10 will have LTE, CDMA, HSPA+ radio’s as well as offer connectivity like NFC, DLNA, Wi-Fi, Hotspot and while not on the spec sheet we would have to expect Bluetooth. The slide also goes on to confirm their will be two variants of the A10, one that measure in at 9.4mm and the Verizon version which will offer a thickness of 9.7mm. Early rumors claim the Sprint variation of the A10 would start selling sometime in November and it is expected most other carriers that have plans for the handset will follow shortly their after.
