Apple Announces a 128 GB New iPad With Retina Display
The Apple iPad! It comes and goes. It’s announced; we wow and get our cash ready! The interim usually brings us no real Apple news. Yea there are a few scattered rumors here and there about their upcoming model. But never any random improvements or hardware tweaks to the current models. Outside of iOS updates, the iPad stands on its own and only gets hardware upgrades when a new model is ready to debut. While it’s not common place for big box manufacturers to change up hardware, it happens, but never to Apple! Today a bit more memory will go a long way.
If you have ever decided against an iPad due to its lack of storage space and expandable memory options, your time to reconsider has arrived. Apple has announced they will increase the iPad with Retina Display to 128 GB. The latest variation in iPad “Offers Twice the Storage Capacity to Create & Enjoy Even More Incredible Content”. In a lonely, quiet press release the red delicious company announced the new iPad. The new, new iPad doubles down on storage space and with that comes a bit of a price increase. At 128 GB you should expect to pay $799 for the base Wi-Fi model. Wi-Fi and cellular versions of the new slate will run you about $929. What is also known as the iPad 4 was announced back in October of last year and has been available since November. It comes with a 9.7 inch IPS LCD touch screen with retina resolution at 2048×1536 at 264 pixels per inch. A more than capable Apple A6X system chip is running your apps with a dual core 1.4 GHz Apple Swift processor, Power VR SGX 554 GPU, 1 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of storage. Additionally you can expect a highly capable 5 mega pixel camera, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, Hotspot and the multipurpose Lightning connector. The new 128 GB version of the iPad 4 will be made available on Tuesday February 5th.
