Sony Ericsson’s Android Xperia X8
The new Xperia X8 is very similar to the X10 sporting similar qualities and functionality. The Sony Ericsson X8 ships with a slew of features that are sure to please any smart phone shopper. The X8 sports a 600 MHz processor that runs Android’s operating system version 1.6 or Donut; if you like the tasty names Google issues to its updates. The X8 has a 3 inch HGVA, TFT touch screen that displays 16 million colors. The new X8 comes with a lower than average 3.2 megapixel camera with geo tagging capabilities. By default there is a pre installed media or music player, with 3.5mm headset jack, 128MB of internal storage, a micro SD slot that can accept up to 16GB. The Xperia X8 will ship with a 2GB SD card, Google maps pre installed, GPS, A2DP stereo Bluetooth technology and Wi-Fi. Sony is stating an update to Android 2.1 is imminent however no official time frame on this update has been stated. The Android X* will be using Sony Ericssons “four corners” over the top of the the Android OS. The four corners technology is seemingly loved by Sony Ericsson users, and is a great fit for the X8.
So if the X10 is too large for your liking and the X10 mini is too small for you, no need to fret Sony Ericcson has you covered with the likes of their new X8. Specs in mind this new Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 seems to be a very good mid-level smart phone that will surely bring many non smart phone users into the new age, because in reality that is truly the name of the game.
