The Award Winning Acer CloudMobile Goes Up for Pre-Order
At some point in your life you more than likely have come across a piece of Acer made hardware. Whether it’s a simple monitor for your PC or a laptop Acer is a well know Components Company across the globe. While their presence in the mobile world is still a bit lacking when compared to its competition, it may become a bit more visible with the likes of the new Acer CloudMobile Android handset. The CloudMobile may sport an odd name for a phone, but it an amazing handset that has been lurking in the shadows of its own release date for a while now. But anyone that has been waiting on this award winning device your anticipation level is about to rise by a few notches as pre-orders for the Acer made super phone have officially been open!
The Acer CloudMobile is a simple but beautiful slate styled handset that has popped up in the news a few times in recent history. One of its first appearances was actually to boast its award winning design. The Acer CloudMobile was the recipient of the 2012 iF Design award. The company took to the streets with its award and press release outing the device shortly before MWC back in February. Since then the CloudMobile has been spotted at Milan’s Fashion Week and kind of went into hiding after that. Yesterday however the Acer made the CloudMobile official by putting it up for pre-order. You can get your pre-order on at Expansys.Com for around £285 which translates into about $447 freedom bucks. However the US version of the site does not have the price listed in dollars so it could translate into a bit cheaper. The release date is set for September 5th. So what can you expect from an award winning Acer phone? A touch of Android and a splash of awesome! Its screen measures in at 4.3 inches uses IPS LCD technologies and provides a 720×1280 pixel resolution at 342 ppi. Internally it runs with a dual core 1.5 GHz chip set that is backed by 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage. Around back you’ll find an 8 mega pixel camera with LED flash, auto focus, geo tagging and video recording capabilities. And of course rounding out this new smart phone is GPS, Bluetooth, WI-Fi, HDMI and a good old fashioned micro USB connection.
