A new 5.5 Inch LG Optimus G Pro Lines up in the MWC Queue
If pictures of this over sized Optimus G are to be believed, LG may thing bigger is better! And why not, LG’s competition has had a field day with their oversized concoctions and most everyone is following suit! While the word phablet sparks hatred in some peoples harts, the handset the word describes really cannot be stopped. Everywhere you look an amazingly large smart phone is being announced, leaked and launched across the globe. LG has taken a stab at the market in the past with their Intuition and Optimus VU’s and may be looking at their Optimus G line to bring their name into the phablet arena.
The LG Optimus G was originally announced and launched in Korea, back in August of last year. Shortly after it initial release the handset made its way stateside with under the wings of Sprint and At&t. Fast forward to last month and we get a glimpse of an Optimus G Pro. The G Pro subsequently was announced in Japan and scheduled for a February launch date. The Optimus G Pro is indeed an update to the original and came packing a 5 inch HD display. News of a different Optimus G Pro have surfaced to the top of the rumor mill this morning thanks to an anonymous tip sent over to Phonaarena.com The leaky details show a pictures and a spec sheet of a 5.5 inch Optimus G Pro. While the larger variant has had some rumor surrounding it these picture, at the very least prove its existence. This latest Optimus G Pro is said to have a long battle ahead of it, due to the amazing forthcoming competition. But if these rumors are to be believed, the LG Optimus G is off to an awesome start! Details from this leak give the new Optimus G Pro a 5.5 inch Full HD IPS-LCD touch screen that offers an awesome 1080×1920 pixel resolution. And if that wasn’t enough, it gets better. Internally it will run with a 1.7 GHz dual core Snapdragon processor, 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal memory, and expandable microSD capabilities that will support up to 64 GB. We are also set to expect a 13 mega pixel rear facing camera as well as 2 mega pixel front facing shooter that can record video in 1080p. The new Optimus G is set to run with 4G LTE and HSPA+ connectivity and run with the likes of Android version 4.1 Jelly Bean. Additional connectivity will be supplied by Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0, Wi-Fi direct, HDMI and NFC.
